Message So as some of you know, I had an SGP built shortblock and completely rebuilt my motor last year..... Ran it for ~3-4 months, drove it 3-5k miles....and it started to develope some extra "noises". Needless to say, I was pretty terrified, after spending ~7-8k, and countless hours pulling/putting everything back together..... We driving home from a Z meet, it started making much more noise, and lost oil pressure... I simply turned it off, and towed it home.... :(

Pulled the motor to find some pretty nastey things.... My weisco pistons had extreme wear on the sides of the pistons, clearly rubbing the sidewalls of the block... No signs of detonation on the pistons, or plugs.... Also found a spun bearing.... So I simply closed the hood on the Z and walked away for a few months. I was literally ill over the deal. Didn't want to think about all the time/energy/money that had just been wasted. :(

So about a month ago I finally got around to wanting to deal w/ it again (on top of the fact that I been COMPLETELY re-modeling my home-me doing all labor).

Well, a well qualified Z guy took a micrometer to the block and the pistons... It showed the piston/sidewall clearance was .007, and not the standard .003/004.... Problem found. :(

Talked to Mark @ SGP, and he said send it back. So now today, this is where my motor sits. :(

Hopefully the motor will get to SGP late this wk/early next, and they will take care of the situation.... *fingers crossed*

Wish me luck gang, the next few months are going to be expessive.

Chris.
